What I offer
Birth Doula Services
2 prenatal appointments, on call support at 37 weeks on, continual birth attendance, 1 follow up visit

An initial in-person consultation is free of charge.
This gives us the opportunity to get a feel for each other, talk about if our birth philosophies align, and to help you decide if you would like me to join alongside during this beautiful, vulnerable and transformative time in your life.

Following hire and signing of contracts, I will come to your home for two prenatal appointments. Each appointment is about 2 hours.
The first appointment is to discuss your birth goals and desires, along with any fears or concerns you or your partner may have. I help you create a birth plan and offer guidance when choosing a medical care provider and birthing space.
We use this time to learn about common procedures and interventions, their purpose, risks, benefits and alternative options.

The second appointment is focused on preparing for labor.
I educate my clients on the birthing process, what to expect in late pregnancy, during labor, and when to go to a hospital or birthing center. We learn various relaxation and breathing techniques as well as practice comfortable positions to labor in.
If you have birth partner, they will learn ways to assist you during labor to make you feel as comfortable as possible, also helping them be an active participant in the birthing experience.
If you do not have birth partner, I will hold that role.

I go on call at 37 weeks' gestation and am available 24/7 at this point.
I will join you when you feel you need my in-person support. I am then with you continually until about an hour after birth, or until you are situated.
Following delivery, I will provide a one hour follow up postpartum visit within14 days after the birth of the baby. At this meeting, I will answer any and all questions regarding the birth and care of the newborn.
